Samsung Everland
At a pivotal moment, Lambert provided Samsung Everland guidance and strategic planning to incorporate retail, lodging and mixed-use development that would thrive and complement an already successful attraction.
PROJECT SUMMARY
Samsung Everland is a 3,000-acre resort destination property situated outside the City of Seoul, South Korea, and is anchored by the Everland theme park, the seventh most visited theme park in the world. As Lambert became involved Everland was at a critical juncture regarding its future development. Despite the successful operation of an 8+ million visitor a year theme park and water park on the property, the development lacked any significant lodging or retail elements, with the exception of a modest amount of behind-the-gate retail in the theme park and one or two small stores within its water park.
Samsung engaged Lambert to complete a real estate market assessment and strategic plan associated with the expansion of lodging and retail/entertainment opportunities, as well as both resort housing and time-share development. Our work effort included a general case study of select international theme parks and the relationship of residential and mixed-use development situated outside of the theme park gates.
