Uptown Columbus
Columbus Riverfront Master Plan
Following its original involvement with the Uptown Columbus Master Plan, Lambert has advised WC Bradley in a strategic development and investment initiative for its corporate-owned properties within the Uptown area, including more than 700,000 square feet of residential and commercial space.
PROJECT SUMMARY
Uptown Columbus is generally regarded as the epicenter of the Columbus MSA region which covers five counties and spans more than 30 square miles. Uptown Columbus itself is situated less than 90 miles southwest of Atlanta, in close proximity to Fort Benning.
In 2010, Lambert Advisory served as the economic and market advisor to Uptown Columbus on the Columbus Riverfront Master Plan (Uptown Columbus). The Uptown Columbus master plan was established to provide a roadmap for short and long-term redevelopment to broaden the economic base and stimulate growth within the Uptown Columbus area. The plan focused on expanding housing, retail, office and recreation use poised for development from the opening of Whitewater Columbus – the longest urban whitewater rafting course flowing 2.5 miles through the heart of Uptown Columbus.
Since the completion of the master plan, there has been a measurable investment in Uptown Columbus, including numerous restaurants and retail establishments along with plans for continued housing development.
